Revolut launches euro-pegged stablecoin EURR

Fintech firm Revolut has launched its first euro-pegged stablecoin, EURR. Blockchain outlet U.Today reported that Revolut has joined the ranks of fintech firms issuing their own stablecoins. Revolut said EURR is designed to maintain the same value as 1 euro, providing users an additional payment option and enabling digital euros to be moved on-chain. Revolut said EURR was launched via a subsidiary regulated under MiCA rules.

Billionaire Tim Draper calls Cardano accelerator a 'rare opportunity'

Apex Growth Accelerator, a 10-week programme for startups in the Cardano ecosystem, is accepting applications until Sept. 1 local time. Selected companies can receive up to $70,000 in investment and access to a Silicon Valley investor and expert network. Billionaire investor Tim Draper promoted the programme on X, calling it a big opportunity for Cardano developers. The programme starts on Oct. 5 and is backed by the $80 million Orion Fund.

231 million XRP withdrawn from Binance, analyst sees move to $2

XRP whales withdrew 231 million XRP from Binance in a single day, the largest such outflow in six months, The Crypto Basic reported. CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost said the withdrawals exceeded $335 million at the time, far above the 90-day average net outflow of about $40 million. XRP’s market value rose sharply over the same period. Analysts also flagged a rise in whale inflows to Binance over the past 30 days.
