Mira Murati says Thinking Machines differs from other LLMs

Thinking Machines, an AI startup founded by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati (미라 무라티), is seeking to differentiate itself from other large language models with a human-centered interaction model. Murati described a shift away from turn-based AI systems that stop perceiving context while generating answers. She outlined a time-based approach that continuously processes audio, text and video in 20-millisecond slices to capture nuances in human conversation. She also stressed “tools for thought” and human-in-the-loop collaboration.

South Korean authorities issue verbal warning after won-dollar rate breaks 1,550

South Korea's foreign exchange authorities issued a verbal intervention after the won-dollar exchange rate surged past 1,550 in onshore trading for the first time since the financial crisis. The Bank of Korea and the Ministry of Economy and Finance said they would not tolerate excessive volatility and one-way market moves relative to fundamentals and would respond strongly. They also said speculative trading such as offshore NDFs had increased volatility.

HTX delists Trump family-linked stablecoin USD1 as address freeze dispute escalates

Crypto exchange HTX has halted support for the Trump family-linked stablecoin USD1 and delisted related trading pairs. HTX said issuer World Liberty Financial froze an exchange-related on-chain address without prior consultation, restricting some assets linked to the address. The exchange said it will convert users’ USD1 holdings to tether (USDT) at a 1-for-1 ratio, with details to be announced later. HTX criticised the freeze as lacking communication and transparency and said it is considering legal action.
