LG and Nvidia are strengthening cooperation in physical AI, AI infrastructure (AIDC) and mobility.
The companies held a top management meeting (TMM) on June 8 at LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul, attended by LG Corp CEO Koo Kwang-mo (구광모) and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (젠슨 황), and agreed to strengthen their partnership.
The cooperation centres on combining Nvidia’s full-stack, end-to-end AI platform with LG Group capabilities built up in home appliances, robots, mobility parts, smart spaces and AI infrastructure. It aims to link organically the full process from AI model development to robot training and operations and digital twin construction, and to build a next-generation physical AI ecosystem.
Koo said he held "very exciting" discussions with Huang on strategic cooperation that will change future industries. He said Nvidia’s blueprint for an AI ecosystem matches LG’s future vision of creating valuable change in customers’ daily lives and at global industrial sites. He stressed that the meeting would help the two companies further solidify a "partnership for the future" by combining their distinctive capabilities.
Huang, Nvidia founder and CEO, said South Korea has strong competitiveness in manufacturing, mechatronics and AI, which will make robotics and physical AI key growth industries for the country. He said that through Nvidia DSX and the physical AI platform, LG will be able to expand leadership beyond homes and vehicles to factories and AI infrastructure, and create new growth opportunities in intelligent systems that will change daily life and industry.
