Hana Bank launches benefit package for Naver Pay terminal merchants

Hana Bank said on Tuesday it has launched a benefits package with Naver Pay for merchants using the Npay Connect terminal. Npay Connect is an offline integrated device that supports multiple payment methods, including cash, cards, QR payments and pay services, and can be requested via Hana Bank’s app for sole proprietors. The bank will provide a 30,000 won subsidy to eligible sole proprietors who register a Hana Bank account as their merchant settlement account. Naver Pay plans support measures to ease merchants’ initial costs.

MSIT holds digital youth talent talk concert at CES

South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT held the “Digital Youth Talent Talk Concert@CES 2026” in Las Vegas on Jan. 6 local time, hosted by the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation. About 300 outstanding digital young people selected from talent development support programmes attended. The ministry said it arranged the event to help participants respond to rapid AI and digital change and design future careers.

DailyFunding finds case of more than 4,500 reinvestments in one year

DailyFunding released a 2025 year-end report on its business results and investment activity. It said it provided customers with 18,710 investment products over the past year and achieved a weighted average return of 11.25 percent. The report said some investors sought to hedge stock volatility, with 72.37 percent of new investors repeatedly reinvesting. It also cited a case of 4,508 investments in a year and detailed cumulative investment amounts and small-investment participation.
