KakaoGames has opened a teaser site for its new massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) OdinQ: Valkyrie's Call, beginning full-scale preparations for its launch.

KakaoGames said on June 18 that it has opened the teaser site and unveiled key visuals for the first time for OdinQ: Valkyrie's Call, a new MMORPG being developed by Lionheart Studio.

The new title first drew attention when it was introduced at G-Star 2024 under the working name ProjectQ. Through the teaser site, KakaoGames presented the official title and subtitle, along with images of the game's world that form its backbone. The subtitle, Valkyrie's Call, refers to a sacred message summoning warriors chosen by the gods to the battlefield and hints at an epic narrative of heroes facing the end.

The key visual released alongside it highlights Ragnarok, the final war in Norse mythology. It depicts the gods preparing for a decisive battle with the fire giant Surtr, visually embodying the dark, mythic sensibility characteristic of the Odin IP. The logo (BI) was also designed in a form in which Jormungand, a giant serpent symbolising the end, surrounds the title, adding to the tension of the world view.

The teaser site supports Korean as well as major Asian regional languages simultaneously.

OdinQ: Valkyrie's Call is set to offer various growth paths, including races, classes and a co-op-focused combat structure, based on a world view that reinterprets the Norse myth Edda (EDDA).

A KakaoGames official said, "OdinQ: Valkyrie's Call does not stop at simply recreating Norse mythology, but will deliver an experience in which users themselves are immersed in a vast world view as they play." The official added, "As a next-generation MMORPG that will lead a new heyday for the Odin IP, it will build a strong presence not only domestically but also in the global market and will create a new history of success."
