[DigitalToday reporter Ji-young Lee (이지영)] The KOSPI rewrote history by rising above 9,000 in intraday trading for the first time.
As of 12:55 p.m. on June 18, the KOSPI hit an intraday 9,000.68, crossing the 9,000 level for the first time.
The KOSPI is currently extending gains to 9,026.28 as of 1:15 p.m.
The KOSPI opened at 8,884.92, up 20.68 points, or 0.23 percent, from the previous day. The KOSDAQ opened at 1,029.81, down 2.15 points, or 0.21 percent.
The KOSDAQ, however, fell 3.31 percent to drop below 1,000.
