Kakao Pay selected as 2025 Korea Work-Life Balance company
Kakao Pay was selected as a 2025 Korea Work-Life Balance company under a government programme recognising firms with strong performance in flexible work, reduced hours, leave use and work‑childcare balance. The company offers flexible schedules, monthly companywide rest days, paid sabbaticals and family‑friendly leave policies. A Kakao Pay official said the company believes reliable financial services come from a culture where employees can work with peace of mind.

LG Uplus announces executive appointments to strengthen AX and telecom operations
LG Uplus held a board meeting on Nov. 27 and carried out a reshuffle that promoted three executives to executive vice president, one to senior vice president and named seven new vice presidents. The company highlighted AX as the driver of medium to long‑term growth. It prioritised talent able to support growth in AI contact centres, AI data centres and its AI call app Xio, while reinforcing core telecom operations. Business division head Kwon Yonghyun was promoted to executive vice president, alongside CFO and CRO Yeo Myonghee and CHO Yang Hyoseok. IT and platform build group leader Jung Sungkwon was promoted to senior vice president.

Shinhan Bank launches SOL Trip&Shop debit card
Shinhan Bank introduced the SOL Trip&Shop debit card, developed with Shinhan Card and designed for overseas online shopping. The card builds on the bank’s travel card line and offers enhanced benefits for online Visa payments. Users can earn up to 2.5 percent in points on overseas online purchases and receive cashback, including 11 percent on Hotels.com. The bank also launched a three-step customer event to mark the release.
