South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Association for ICT Promotion held a performance-sharing meeting in Seoul on Thursday on a project supporting global expansion of AI-integrated OTT services and discussions on 대응 to the global FAST market. The ministry said it is promoting overseas expansion based on K-FAST platforms to reduce reliance on global OTT platforms. It selected six consortia using 8 billion won in extra budget to build 20 AI-dubbed K-channels and will provide content to viewers in 22 countries.

South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT Postal Service Headquarters said on Dec. 11 its “Repaying Swallow” advertising videos promoting Post Office Savings won bronze prizes at the 2025 Korea Digital Advertising Awards. The campaign won in the Digital Creative (digital video series) and AI Creative (AI visual) categories. The series uses AI to depict a swallow from the Korean folktale Heungbu-jeon and promotes features such as full deposit protection and mobile banking.
