Card Lounge, a PC-based card comparison and recommendation service run by Viva Republica, the operator of Toss, has seen monthly visitors increase 11-fold a year after its launch.

Toss said on Wednesday that Card Lounge's monthly visitors were about 11 times higher in June than in its first month after launch in July last year.

Card Lounge is designed to let users compare and receive recommendations on card benefits, annual fees and conditions for meeting prior-month spending requirements on a large screen.

The number of users who compared cards rose about threefold from the first month after launch, and the number of completed card applications increased about 10-fold.

Over the past year, the most compared card was the Toss Shinhan Card Mr.Life, while the most applied-for card was the Toss Samsung Card.

Toss explained that users initially arrived through promotions, but service usage expanded as organic traffic increased later without separate advertising.

A Toss official said, "We will continue to provide a range of card information to help users choose the card that suits them."
