LG Uplus to unveil future AI call agent at MWC26

LG Uplus said on Sunday it will unveil its future AI assistant service, Ixio Pro, at MWC26 in Barcelona on March 2 local time. The company said Ixio Pro goes beyond responding to user requests by understanding conversation context and relationships to provide needed information first. At the event, LG Uplus will also present Ixio’s expansion into a voice-based super agent and a collaboration linking Ixio’s AI voice phishing detection with KB Kookmin Bank’s abnormal transaction monitoring.

Samsung SDI improves battery performance with gel polymer electrolyte

Samsung SDI said on Sunday it developed a technology that improves both the lifespan and safety of lithium metal batteries, working with Columbia University. It said a fluorine-based gel polymer electrolyte forms a stable interface on the anode surface and effectively suppresses dendrites that degrade performance. The company said lithium metal batteries have 1.6 times the energy density of ternary batteries but have faced limits to commercialisation due to short cycle life.

Kakao Mobility to export parking solution to Saudi Diriyah

Kakao Mobility will supply an integrated parking solution to Saudi Arabia's smart city development, signing a paid proof-of-concept contract for the Diriyah project on Feb. 23. The company will first build solutions for three key zones with about 5,000 parking spaces as an initial step toward a system designed to accommodate more than 60,000 vehicles. If the PoC is completed successfully, it plans to expand the solution across Diriyah's mobility hubs.
