Chinese AI company MiniMax revenue more than doubles in 2025, net loss quadruples

Chinese AI model developer MiniMax posted 2025 revenue of $79 million in its first earnings release since listing in Hong Kong in January, more than doubling from about $30 million in 2024, driven by products including its Hailuo AI video-generation app. Its net loss widened to $1.87 billion, which the company said was due to a higher value for convertible preferred shares treated as liabilities under accounting rules.

Huawei unveils ACN, targets mobile network shift for AI agents

Huawei unveiled an Agentic Communication Network, or ACN, at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona. The company aims to convert existing networks into AI agent-based communication networks. Huawei cited digital identity management, dynamic group communication and collaboration task session management as core functions. It also announced an agent core solution focused on commercialising agent networks and introduced an open-source A2A-T project for standardising agent communication protocols.

WorkOS raises $100 million to expand authentication and security for AI agents

Enterprise authentication and security platform WorkOS said on March 2 it raised $100 million in a Series C funding round. Meritech and Sapphire led the round, with participation from Audacious, Craft, Abstract and GreenOaks, among others. WorkOS was valued at $2 billion in the investment. The company said it helps firms quickly implement security requirements such as single sign-on, user provisioning and audit logs, and that major AI companies use its platform.
