[Digital Today reporter Jin-ho Lee] KT is operating customer hands-on spaces at major stores to mark the launch of the new Galaxy Z series.
KT said on Thursday it has set up special spaces at three flagship stores, including KT Onmaji Gwanghwamun, KT Avenue and Hongdae Ad Shop Plus, where customers can try key features of the Galaxy Z series.
Customers can try missions using the Galaxy Z Flip8's Flex Window and filming and editing using the Galaxy Z Fold8's Dual Recording and My Fan Cam features. Those who complete missions can receive tiered rewards including a pouch, Jibbitz, a stand-type key ring and a foldable bag.
It is also running hands-on content linked to Millie’s Library. Customers can tag a near-field communication (NFC) card to check recommended content and try a reading experience using the Galaxy Z Fold8's large screen.
At Gwanghwamun KT Onmaji, it is running the "Z Book Talk @ KT Onmaji" programme with Millie’s Library. Customers can check reading experiences using the Galaxy Z Fold8 and examples of how the content is used.
At Hongdae Ad Shop Plus, KT has set up a "Raon x Mini-V" hands-on zone and photo zone targeting customers in their teens and 20s. It combined character content with foldable smartphone experiences to improve accessibility for younger customers.
In addition to the flagship stores, KT will hold demonstration events at six regional hub stores, including its Suwon KT Wiz Park store, its Busan Haeundae Jangsan Station direct store, its Daegu Dongseong-ro direct store, its Gwangju Dagyeong Chipeyeok store, its Daejeon Telnara Network Dunsan store and its Incheon Songnim Sinhyeon store.
KT created the hands-on spaces in collaboration with Shin Hye-mi (신혜미), a graffiti artist and illustrator who is a KT Y Artist. It applied Shin's characters and artwork to the spaces and giveaway items.
Kwon Hee-geun (권희근), executive director and head of KT's sales division, said, "We planned the hands-on spaces so customers can experience the functions of the new Galaxy products directly and gain a deeper understanding of the product value." He added, "We will strengthen communication with customers through KT’s differentiated experiential marketing."
