Naver, Kakao launch 'AI citizen secretary' with Interior Ministry

Naver and Kakao launched an AI-based public service agent, 'AI citizen secretary', in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. The companies attended an opening ceremony for the pilot service on March 9 in Pangyo Techno Valley ahead of the public launch on March 10. Users can handle electronic certificate issuance and reservations for public facilities without installing separate apps. Both services offer issuance for about 100 certificate types and searches and bookings for about 1,200 public sports facilities and meeting rooms nationwide.

KakaoBank one-month savings tops 14 million accounts

KakaoBank's "one-month savings" product has exceeded 14 million cumulative accounts 2 years and 5 months after its launch. Introduced in October 2023, it is a short-term savings product designed to help users build saving habits by setting aside small daily amounts from 100 won to 30,000 won. Customer usage has expanded beyond younger users, with people in their 40s and those 50 and older now making up 63 percent.
