Google is launching its personal AI agent, 'Gemini Spark', in South Korea, which performs tasks in the background based on user instructions.
Google Korea said on Wednesday it will provide Gemini Spark sequentially in English and Korean to users of the Google AI Pro and Ultra subscription plans.
Gemini Spark is an always-on AI agent that continues tasks even when a laptop is closed or a smartphone screen is locked. It integrates with Google Workspace services such as Gmail, Google Docs and spreadsheets.
Users can instruct it to find schedule or payment information in emails and organize it into documents, draft responses to customer inquiries, or regularly check event and reservation information.
Gemini Spark runs based on Google's AI model 'Gemini 3.6'. Users choose which functions to activate and which apps to connect, and it is designed to obtain user approval before carrying out key tasks such as sending emails or making payments.
Google said, "Gemini Spark is a personal AI agent that helps users focus on important work by handling repetitive digital tasks, even while they are asleep."
