OpenAI indefinitely shelves ChatGPT adult mode
OpenAI has halted development of an adult mode for ChatGPT and put the plan on hold indefinitely, TechCrunch reported on March 26, citing the Financial Times. The issue drew controversy after CEO Sam Altman mentioned the feature in October last year, prompting internal opposition and outside criticism. The Wall Street Journal reported warnings at an advisory board meeting that it could become a “sexy suicide coach.” OpenAI said it had no further comment.

Google expands Live Translate earbud feature to iOS, widens country support
Google is expanding its AI-based "Live Translate" feature to iOS and significantly widening the list of supported countries, TechCrunch reported on March 26. The real-time earbud translation tool had previously been available only to Android users in the United States, India and Mexico. The update adds support for Germany, Spain, France, Nigeria, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, Bangladesh and Thailand.

Netflix to raise all subscription prices again
Netflix will raise all subscription prices, Engadget reported on March 26. Under the change, the ad-supported Standard plan will increase to $9 a month from $8, while the ad-free version will rise to $20 from $18. The Premium plan will go up to $27 from $25 and includes 4K streaming, spatial audio support and viewing on four devices at once. Extra member fees are set at $8 with ads and $10 without ads.
