Kakao said on Aug. 13 it has added partnership benefits, including Sikbom, Cheongyeon and Gyeoljeseonsaeng, to its subscription service 'KakaoBiz Membership' for small and medium-sized merchants.
KakaoBiz Membership is a subscription service that provides business-related benefits such as advertising, marketing, store operations and purchasing food ingredients. The monthly fee is 14,900 won. It includes benefits worth up to 500,000 won each month, including advertising support funds and discount coupon packs.
With the expanded partnerships, users of the food ingredients open-market platform Sikbom receive a discount coupon pack worth 30,000 won each month, consisting of one 20,000-won coupon and one 10,000-won coupon. Users of the cleaning service Cheongyeon receive a monthly office cleaning discount coupon worth 16,000 won and a 15 percent discount coupon for the cleaning supplies mall Pluss Shop.
Benefits were also added for academy operators. The academy fee payment collection service Gyeoljeseonsaeng offers 6,000 points once when a new business site opens. The academy management program Macguy 7 provides up to 300,000 points in payback to new members and pays 20,000 points each month to existing members. Users of FlipEdu receive discount benefits related to text message and AlimTalk fees, learning management and shuttle bus management services.
Existing membership benefits are maintained, including 30,000 won in Kakao advertising support funds, a 40,000-won discount coupon pack for Baemin Sanghoe, 30,000 won in support funds for Albamon recruitment advertising products and 10,000 won in Okpos customer management message sending fees. They also include a 30 percent discount on Revu trial group marketing, a 50 percent discount on Dinner Queen passes, and three months of free use and cost support for Pospid and Otterpos delivery order programs.
Hwang Jun-yeon (황준연), Kakao Business domain leader, said the company has expanded benefits needed for business operations by reflecting user feedback and demand by industry since the beta version was launched in December last year. He said it will continue to expand partnerships tailored to each industry to support small and medium-sized merchants in running their businesses.
