Tmap Mobility expands content business, launches 'My Theme Course'
Tmap Mobility has begun turning users' travel experiences into content, launching a participatory event called 'My Theme Course,' the company said on Wednesday. Users can create and share routes based on personal trips such as family travel or date courses, along with stories and photos. Selected routes will be introduced in the app as Tmap Theme Course content, a series recommending places by season and theme. The event runs through Feb. 27.

Kakao Mobility to aggressively pursue E2E autonomous driving commercialisation
Kakao Mobility CEO Ryu Geung-son said the company is aggressively building a pipeline to commercialise end-to-end autonomous driving using real-time road data and platform operations expertise. Kakao Mobility said it held a forum with lawmaker Jung Joon-ho on AI autonomous driving demonstration cities. The company has joined the AI Future Car M.AX Alliance and set up a Physical AI division led by former Waymo executive Kim Jin-gyu. The transport ministry plans to deploy about 200 AI autonomous vehicles in Gwangju from the second half of the year.

Chipmetrics targets South Korea as 3D NAND heads toward 1,000 layers
Finnish semiconductor metrology startup Chipmetrics is targeting South Korea as 3D NAND stacking moves beyond 300 layers toward 1,000. It aims to measure thin-film quality inside deep, narrow holes with a method it says is hundreds of times faster than conventional cross-section TEM analysis. CEO Mikko Utriainen said precise measurement will be key as aspect ratios rise. CTO Feng Gao said fabs often measure only planar uniformity, not conformality in 3D structures.
