GS Retail holds third 'Future Retail' results showcase to speed up AX innovation
GS Retail said on Feb. 19 it held a results showcase for the third cohort of its open innovation programme, The GS Challenge Future Retail. The programme, run with the Seoul Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, provides selected startups with 10 million won each for business validation, collaboration opportunities using GS Retail infrastructure and one-on-one mentoring. Seven startups took part in proof-of-concept tests, including AI-based demand forecasting and content production.

DS Danseok holds talks in Malaysia on raw material sourcing and sales channels
DS Danseok participated in POC 2026 in Malaysia, an international conference on price and supply-demand prospects for biodiesel feedstocks such as palm oil, lauric oil and vegetable oils. Attendees from more than 50 countries shared annual market trends and discussed procurement, market expansion and technical cooperation. The company said it focused on networking to diversify sourcing and widen overseas sales channels, and expects improved profitability as upgraded plants fully operate in 2026.

Hancom supplies AI facial recognition solution to Japan's Cyberlinks
Hancom said on Feb. 19 it signed a contract to supply its AI facial recognition solution, Hancom Auth, to Cyberlinks, a Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard-listed company. Cyberlinks will name Hancom a strategic partner and advance its remote identity verification services, targeting existing and new clients. Hancom Auth is based on technology from Spain's FacePhi and includes liveness features to detect fake faces in real time, Hancom said.
