[DigitalToday reporter Ji-young Lee] KB Kookmin Bank will hire about 180 people in total in the second half of this year, combining new bank employees and experienced hires.
KB Kookmin Bank said on Sept. 1 it will conduct recruitment for new bank employees and experienced staff in the second half of 2026.
For its open recruitment of new hires, it will select about 160 people in six areas: UB (Universal Banker), discharged (or soon-to-be discharged) officers, professional qualifications (certified public accountants), ICT, specialised high schools and ESG shared growth.
Separately from new-hire recruitment, it will also proceed with rolling recruitment of experienced staff in specialised fields such as AI and lawyers. The recruitment scale for experienced hires is about 20 people.
In the UB area, it will recruit separately for corporate customer finance and customer asset management and for regional talent. The process will proceed in the order of document screening, a written test and first and second interviews.
It plans to expand recruitment of regional talent and select regional candidates for at least 25 percent of the total UB recruitment headcount.
It will also carry out separate recruitment for soon-to-be discharged officers. It will also conduct recruitment in the professional qualifications area for holders of the Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants (KICPA) qualification.
In the ICT area, it will select separately for IT and for AI and platform development. It plans to hire talent in digital finance through document screening, a coding test and interviews.
The ESG shared growth area will be operated for people with disabilities, recipients of basic livelihood benefits, children of multicultural families and North Korean defectors. It will also conduct recruitment in the specialised high school area for prospective graduates of vocational high schools.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We will continue fair recruitment so diverse talent can demonstrate their capabilities."
