Superfast said on Monday it has confirmed Tripul Games and Keymaker Games as the final selected teams for its game discovery and incubation program, Superfast Next.
Superfast Next is a program that identifies games and developers with potential and supports them with investment and business growth. A total of 100 teams applied for the program, and 20 teams that passed document screening took part in a pitching day held last month.
Superfast made the final selection of 2 companies after evaluating game completeness, development capability and growth potential. It plans to provide investment as well as business support such as publishing.
Tripul Games is a PC and console 3D action game developer made up of a development team including CEO Man-son Jeong (정만손), who has 24 years of experience. It is developing the roguelite action game 'Player Who Can't Level Up' based on Kakao Entertainment webtoon intellectual property, and the soulslike game 'V.E.D.A'.
Keymaker Games is a one-person development studio that has recorded a cumulative 10,000,000 downloads after developing titles such as 'Dark Sword' and 'Undestroyed'.
Its new title 'Iron Shadow: Survival Protocol' is a game that combines action elements with the replay loop structure of the survival genre. It recently released a demo version on the global PC game distribution platform Steam.
'Player Who Can't Level Up' by Tripul Games and 'Iron Shadow: Survival Protocol' by Keymaker Games are both in development, targeting an official release in the first half of next year. Publishing will be handled by Offmoon, Superfast's Steam-focused label.
Kang-an Kim (김강안), CEO of Superfast, said, "We selected the two teams after playing the submitted titles ourselves and reviewing the fun of the games, development capability and growth potential." He added, "We will continue to discover and invest in strong IP and pursue business cooperation with each developer."
