Data centre cooling industry shake-up gains pace as Phononic pursues sale
AI data centre cooling technology company Phononic is in sale talks, The Information reported on April 20, citing sources familiar with the matter. The deal is being discussed at a value of at least $1.5 billion, and some potential buyers have offered more than $2 billion, the report said. Phononic could also opt to raise additional funding instead of a sale.

Lovable vibe-coding platform faces security flaw row over free account access to other users' data
A researcher has raised allegations that Lovable, a vibe-coding platform valued at $6.6 billion, had a security flaw allowing a free account to access other users’ source code, database credentials and AI chat histories, The Register reported. The researcher described an object-level authorisation bug that exposed data without ownership checks and said a report was mishandled. The Register said Lovable’s explanations shifted before it said a backend change re-enabled access.

MSIT to support HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in easing cybersecurity risks
South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT said it will work with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries to strengthen information security capabilities in the shipbuilding and port industry. The ministry said it signed a memorandum of understanding among KISA and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan to support cybersecurity for small and medium-sized firms in the smart shipbuilding and port sector and to build a regional security ecosystem. It cited rising supply-chain cyberattacks.
