KB Financial activates emergency response system to address Middle East conflict risks

KB Financial Group said on Monday it has activated a group-wide emergency response system as geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East raises the possibility of greater volatility in financial markets at home and abroad. It said it will minimise customer inconvenience while providing financial support for companies at risk of damage. KB Kookmin Bank began a disaster recovery support programme on March 1 for exporters and smaller firms operating overseas.

Hana Financial Group launches emergency special financial support for Koreans in Iran

Hana Financial Group said on Monday it will rapidly 추진 humanitarian assistance, including daily necessities and relief packages, for Koreans affected in Iran as the Middle East situation worsens linked to the Iran incident. The programme was prepared as part of inclusive finance to support safety and livelihoods. Hana Bank will supply 12 trillion won in funds and up to 500 million won per company, and offer maturity extensions, repayment deferrals and interest-rate reductions.

Big cloud companies are stepping up attacks on the AI chip market dominated by Nvidia, extending efforts from inference into model training. Meta signs a multiyear deal to rent Google’s TPU and discusses bringing TPU into its data centres from next year. Amazon strengthens cooperation with OpenAI around AWS and its Trainium chip. Nvidia plans to unveil a new inference-focused chip in March and outlined an AI-native 6G vision using AI-RAN.
