Mintrocket's 'Dave the Diver' has surpassed 10 million copies in cumulative global sales. It is the first record set by a domestic single-package game. Three years after release, it is continuing sales through platform expansion and the addition of downloadable content (DLC).

Mintrocket said on Tuesday that the hybrid ocean adventure game 'Dave the Diver' has surpassed 10 million copies in cumulative global sales.

'Dave the Diver' is a game in which players explore the Blue Hole by day to collect marine life and run a sushi restaurant at night using the ingredients they gathered. It is characterised by combining exploration, collection and management elements in a single game.

Since its full release in 2023, it has expanded supported platforms from PC to PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Xbox. On Sept. 17, it plans to launch a mobile version globally via Apple App Store and Google Play.

The mobile version keeps the main game structure of the existing PC and console versions, while applying control methods tailored to mobile devices such as touch and tilting.

Additional content has also affected sales growth. Mintrocket has released DLC in collaboration with external intellectual property (IP) such as 'Godzilla' and 'Like a Dragon'. The DLC 'In the Jungle', released in June, recorded sales of 1 million copies in about two months after launch.

It is also expanding the scope of IP use outside the game. 'Dave the Diver' content has appeared in other games such as 'Goddess of Victory: NIKKE' and 'Fortnite', and it also carried out collaborations with franchises such as KFC in China and Sushiro.

To mark cumulative sales of 10 million copies, Mintrocket gave commemorative pure-gold cards to all members and held in-house events. It also prepared a tuna carving show using the in-game sushi restaurant 'Bancho Sushi'.

In late October, it plans to hold a two-night, three-day workshop in Okinawa, Japan, involving all members.
