Nvidia-backed U.S. startup pushes space bitcoin mining to cut power costs 30-fold

A bid is under way to mine bitcoin in space using satellites for the first time, with U.S. space technology and AI infrastructure company Starcloud announcing a plan to start mining from orbit. The company plans to carry mining equipment on its second spacecraft launch later this year. CEO Philip Johnston said bitcoin mining consumes about 20 gigawatts of continuous power and could ultimately move to space.

Nexth onboards action RPG 'Dungeon Cross-Relic Hunter' on CROSS platform

Nexth has onboarded Crazy Mind's action role-playing game 'Dungeon Cross-Relic Hunter' onto its onchain game platform CROSS, the company said on Monday. Nexth said the game features pixel graphics and manual-control action, with dungeon exploration and player-versus-player content. It will use CROSS functions such as token issuance, quests, streaming-based rewards and payments. The game will launch on Google Play, Apple App Store and Huawei AppGallery, and Nexth will release the CROSSx wallet as an APK for Huawei users.

Mercedes-Benz fined 11.24 billion won by Korea FTC over missing battery maker disclosure

South Korea's Fair Trade Commission fined Mercedes-Benz's German headquarters and Mercedes-Benz Korea 11.24 billion won and filed a complaint with prosecutors over sales that omitted battery cell maker information. The watchdog said guidelines for EQE and EQS models did not reflect the actual supplier and instead described the cars as using CATL cells. It said about 3,000 cars with Farasis cells were sold, generating about 281.0 billion won in revenue.
