Kakao Entertainment, Naver Webtoon win damages suit against 'Ajitun' operator, court upholds 20 billion won liability
Kakao Entertainment and Naver Webtoon said on March 19 they won a civil lawsuit against the operator of Ajitun, an illegal distribution site for webtoons and web novels. A court on March 11 fully accepted each plaintiff's 1 billion won damages claim, recognising total liability of 2 billion won. The court ordered payment of damages, late interest and provisional enforcement. Ajitun illegally distributed about 750,000 webtoons and 2.5 million web novels.

Coupang holds first logistics centre job fair of year in Suwon and Daegu
Coupang Fulfillment Services (CFS) said on Wednesday it will hold its first job fair of the year. CFS will hold recruitment events in Suwon on March 24 and in Daegu on March 26 to hire on-site logistics workers and logistics managers. About 20 fulfilment centres in the southern Seoul metropolitan area will take part in the Suwon event, while five centres in Daegu and Gyeongsan will join the Daegu fair.

Woori Bank to supply 200 billion won under Seoul assured account programme 3
Woori Bank said on Wednesday it will support the third round of Seoul’s assured account programme for small merchants in the city, in cooperation with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation. The 200 billion won programme will provide remote overdraft loans of up to 10 million won. Eligible applicants are sole proprietors operating for more than one year with a NICE credit score of at least 600 and minimum sales thresholds.
