KT is offering various customer perks for the Chuseok holiday period, spanning movies, shopping, culture and travel.

KT said on Tuesday it is running a Genie TV movie promotion, roaming and membership benefits, and a Disney+ subscription promotion. It will also offer free video calls during the Chuseok holiday period.

On Genie TV, customers who buy new movies such as "Okay Madam 2" and "Bikwang" by Sept. 30 will receive a 5,000 won TV coupon per movie. KT is also operating a Marvel special hall to coincide with the re-release of "Avengers: Endgame Encore". Some movies will be offered at discounts of up to 60 percent or at a special price of 900 won.

KT membership customers can choose one benefit via its "Dal.Dal.Benefits" programme, including discounts at Shopping Lounge and Lotte Mart, or discounts at Baedal Minjok and BHC, or at Burger King. Cultural content such as musicals and exhibitions will also be offered at discounts of up to 50 percent.

KT has also prepared roaming benefits for overseas travellers. Customers who use roaming in September will receive a 10,000 won discount on airport lounges. Customers using its "Southeast Asia value roaming" plan will receive benefits worth 20,000 won if they use Naver Pay QR payments overseas.

KT is also running a promotion through Sept. 30 that provides Disney+ subscription pack customers with additional benefits for two months. Depending on the subscription product, customers can receive additional items such as a Starbucks Americano, MegaMGC Coffee drinks, and living-benefits coupons. KT will provide video calls for free from Sept. 24 to Sept. 27, the Chuseok holiday period, without a separate application. Mobile data-based video calls and prepaid mobile phones are excluded.
