Samsung SDS allies with Anthropic to accelerate Claude-based enterprise AI business

Samsung SDS said on Friday it signed a strategic partnership with global AI company Anthropic to expand in the enterprise AI market. It said the companies will combine technology and industry know-how to strengthen their push into the Korean AI market and support corporate customers’ AI innovation. The partnership includes jointly exploring new business opportunities, training applied AI engineers for building and operating Claude, and providing Claude Enterprise to Samsung affiliates.

Naver to raise $10 billion from Nvidia, Brookfield to expand AI factory globally

Nvidia and global alternative asset manager Brookfield plan to invest a total of $10 billion in Naver, the company said. Naver plans to use the investment to expand its gigawatt-scale AI factory business into global markets. Naver chairman Lee Hae-jin said the investment would help the company move to a new stage, and that the partners' capital, brand and networks would support expansion. Naver previously unveiled plans for a 1-gigawatt global AI factory.

Nvidia to invest $1 billion in Naver to support AI data centre buildout

Nvidia will invest $1 billion in Naver to help fund an AI data centre the South Korean company is building, Bloomberg reported on Thursday. The investment will allow Naver to expand the data centre to more than three times its existing size, the report said. The facility is being co-developed with U.S. private equity firm Brookfield and will use Nvidia AI computing hardware. Nvidia is also building an AI data centre of more than 2 gigawatts with SK Group in South Korea.
