Bitcoin jumps 25 percent in August; 83 percent of top crypto tokens also rise
More than 80 percent of the largest cryptocurrencies by market value rose in August, marking the broadest rally of the year, according to data cited by CoinPost. CryptoRank said 83 percent of the top 100 tokens excluding stablecoins gained. Bitcoin rose 25 percent and ether climbed 32.5 percent. U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs recorded $3.52 billion of net inflows and DeFi lending balances increased to $26.1 billion.

Kakao unveils ECCV AI video generation efficiency technology, boosts training speed 6.9-fold
Kakao is unveiling a technology that reduces computation needed for AI video generation by adjusting the number of tokens used depending on a video's complexity. In tests, the method lifted training speed for a video generation model by about 6.9 times and improved generation processing speed by about 3.2 times compared with existing approaches. Kakao plans to further develop the technology for higher-resolution and longer-duration video generation.

Mintrocket's 'Dave the Diver' has surpassed 10 million copies in cumulative global sales, the first such record for a domestic single-package game. Mintrocket said on Tuesday it has continued sales three years after launch by expanding supported platforms and adding downloadable content. The game broadened from PC to PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Xbox, and plans a global mobile release on Sept. 17 via Apple App Store and Google Play.
