Krafton to hold AI R&D hackathon, seeks participants until March 27

Krafton said on Tuesday it will hold an AI R&D hackathon to identify talent in artificial intelligence research and development and is recruiting participants until March 27. The event is open to anyone regardless of major, age, career or education. The competition has two stages, with an online preliminary round on March 28 and 29 and an offline final round on April 4 and 5 at Krafton’s Yeoksam office. Total prize money is 9 million won.

JoyCity begins pre-registrations for new title 'Imjin War: Joseon's Counterattack'

JoyCity said on Tuesday it has begun pre-registrations for the historical massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) 'Imjin War: Joseon's Counterattack' ahead of its official launch. Developed by Red Ginkgo Games, an affiliate of Endream, the game is directed by Kim Tae-gon (김태곤). It is based on the 1592 Imjin War and features battlefields involving Joseon, Japan and Ming China. It is slated for release globally in the first half of 2026 on mobile and PC.

Oracle updates AI database to support agentic AI for core business operations

Oracle said on Tuesday it updated agentic AI technology in Oracle AI Database. The company said the database is designed to integrate agentic AI and data across operational databases and analytics lakehouses. It said AI agents can securely access enterprise data in real time wherever it is stored and combine it with large language models trained on public data to provide insights. Customers can choose AI models, frameworks, data formats and deployment platforms.
