U.S. OCC conditionally approves World Liberty trust bank charter, opening path to directly manage USD1

The U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has conditionally approved a national trust bank charter application by World Liberty Financial, a crypto firm linked to the Trump family. The company can operate as World Liberty Trust Company, National Association if it meets regulatory and policy requirements. Former Ripple engineer teases 'mystery startup' with RLUSD at center

A private startup being prepared by a former Ripple engineer on the XRP Ledger is expected to put Ripple’s dollar-pegged stablecoin RLUSD at its core. A former Ripple engineer known online as Bias Goose, now in developer marketing at Walrus Protocol, wrote on social media that the project will “make RLUSD great again.” No official name, white paper or confirmed legal entity has been disclosed, with fuller details promised in early September.

Dockpamo phase 2 shows usability decisive as project to be reshaped into frontier AI after final two teams selected

South Korea’s second-stage evaluation for the government’s independent AI foundation model project found usability and potential industrial and service application were decisive. Motif Technologies was eliminated despite leading global benchmarks, while Upstage, SK Telecom and LG AI Research advanced on strengths such as commercial deployment plans, industrial demonstrations and ecosystem expansion. The government will hold a third-stage contest to pick two final teams, but has not set detailed criteria or schedule and is reviewing 2027 support plans linked to a frontier AI model programme.
