Epic Games unveils Unreal Engine 6 through Rocket League teaser

Epic Games has unveiled Unreal Engine 6, describing it as a next-generation combination of AI and graphics technology, and announced a sweeping generational overhaul of its popular game Rocket League. IT outlet Engadget reported that Epic showed a surprise teaser trailer at the Rocket League Paris Major event. The company did not disclose detailed technical specifications or a release schedule for Unreal Engine 6 or the Rocket League revamp.

Tether expands non-dollar stablecoins, pushes Georgian lari-pegged GELT

Tether and the Georgian government are moving to launch GELT, a stablecoin pegged to the Georgian lari, within Georgia’s newly established digital asset regulatory framework. Tether said it expects GELT to support digital payments in Georgia and cross-border commerce, but said details such as structure, launch method and regulatory application will be disclosed later. Georgia’s central bank has set out rules covering reserves, redemption rights, oversight and AML compliance.

Japan seen as possible launch market for spot XRP ETF

A spot XRP exchange-traded fund could draw large inflows from pension funds and financial institutions and help expand the XRP market if it is approved in Japan, an analysis said. Observers cited Japan’s regulatory overhaul and distribution networks as factors that could support ETF demand and spur broader institutional interest in Asia. Japan’s cabinet has approved a bill to reclassify 105 cryptocurrencies as financial products, with implementation expected in fiscal 2027.
