PC market grows 9.1 percent on Windows 11 replacement cycle

Global PC shipments exceeded 270 million units in 2025, up 9.1 percent from 2024, according to Gartner preliminary findings released on Jan. 21. Fourth-quarter shipments rose 9.3 percent to 71.5 million. Gartner cited demand for Windows 11 upgrades and inventory buildup ahead of memory price increases. Lenovo retained the top spot, with HP and Dell also posting shipment growth. Gartner also noted limits to AI PC productivity gains.

KOSA recruits trainees for Metanet Group job-linked entry-level program

Korea Artificial Intelligence & Software Industry Association (KOSA) said it is recruiting trainees until Jan. 25 for a job-linked entry-level training program with Metanet Group. Metanet has worked with KOSA since 2023 across five cohorts, with the first cohort achieving a 100 percent employment rate and an overall average of 83 percent. The program includes software engineering, data and AI, LLM and RAG architecture, cloud infrastructure and integrated projects.

Mocoplex launches AI review generation service 'Our Store Smart Review'

Mocoplex, which operates an integrated store operations and management solution, said on Tuesday it has launched an AI-based automatic store review generation service called 'Our Store Smart Review'. The service uses an LLM repeatedly trained on high-quality review data and can generate receipt and blog reviews in up to 3 minutes. Users can check whether preset conditions are reflected and correct false information before publishing. The company plans free QR-code distribution and promotions to boost review uploads.
