News spread that actors Cha Jung-won and Ha Jung-woo had left for Hawaii in the United States, and their agencies issued a position.
Cha posted a series of photos and videos on Instagram with captions including “blazing” and “We were given a clear sky,” showing an exotic Hawaii backdrop. A media outlet later reported that the Ha-Cha couple were staying in Hawaii and spending affectionate time together.
Both agencies said it was “the actors’ private life” and that there was “no separate official position.” The two publicly acknowledged their relationship in February and are dating with marriage in mind.
NCT member Doyoung appeared at a dinner hosted by Prime Minister Kim Min-seok (김민석).
On March 23, Doyoung attended a dinner meeting for life ambassadors and the Cheonmyeong Protection Office at the prime minister’s official residence in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, wearing his military uniform. The event invited figures from culture, religion and industry who are participating in the “Cheonmyeong-keeping project.”
The “Cheonmyeong-keeping project” is a programme 추진 by the pan-government Life Protection Promotion Headquarters, with the goal of “reducing suicide deaths by 1,000 in 2026.” Figures from various fields take part as life ambassadors and join suicide prevention efforts.

BTS’ comeback performance, broadcast live by Netflix, pleased the eyes and ears of many fans around the world.
Netflix said “BTS Comeback Live: Arirang,” broadcast live on March 21, was watched by 18.4 million viewers via Netflix over the day of the live broadcast.
The show was Netflix’s first live event transmitted from South Korea. It made the weekly top 10 in 80 countries and ranked No. 1 in 24 countries, showing undiminished influence.
The performance reinterpreted an album inspired by the traditional folk song “Arirang” in a modern way. New songs including “Body to Body,” “Like Animals” and the title track “Swim” were performed live for the first time, alongside hit songs “Butter” and “Dynamite.” Leader RM injured his ankle during rehearsals and performed some stages while seated.

BTS looked back on the meaning of a full-group comeback as it disclosed the production process and behind-the-scenes details of its new album “Arirang.”
BTS held a live broadcast on the fan communication platform Weverse and shared various episodes from the album’s production process.
It also conveyed some regret about member Jin’s participation. RM said, “It’s a shame that if the tour had ended just a bit earlier, we could have worked on more together.” Jin was known to have joined late in the song camp held in the United States because he was busy with an overseas solo tour schedule at the time. As a result, he did not get his name listed in the lyric and composition credits.
V explained the situation at the time, saying, “There was time we could have been together, but I kept going with the tour even though I wasn’t in good condition.” Jungkook also mentioned the tight schedule, saying, “Didn’t you move on to another schedule before us?” Jin smiled calmly, saying, “I’m happy because a lot of good songs came out.”
■ This week’s major K-snapp news?
Controversy over NCT member Jeno and an e-cigarette drew strong interest on Global K-snapp.
According to a recent online community post, Jeno shared a selfie with fans through the private messaging platform Bubble, holding an e-cigarette in one hand.
But suspicion emerged that Jeno smoked indoors, based on points including that the photo appeared to have been taken inside. The photo has since been deleted. Some criticised him, saying, “Didn’t he think while taking the photo?” and “Isn’t this basically asking people to notice?” Others responded, “He’s just holding it, what’s the problem,” and “He’s a grown adult, people nitpick everything.”
In November 2024, NCT member Haechan previously faced trouble over a separate indoor smoking controversy. As the fallout grew, the agency acknowledged Haechan’s indoor smoking through an official statement and apologised.

The BTS craze is also blowing through OTT rankings.
On March 24, FlixPatrol, a site that compiles OTT content rankings, showed that as of the previous day BTS’ Gwanghwamun comeback show live stage, “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG,” ranked No. 3 in Netflix’s film top 10.
“Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man” took the top spot. It depicts the story of a man who returns from a self-chosen reclusive life amid the chaos of World War Two and confronts a moment of utterly destructive judgment.
A notable point in the rankings was the comeback show’s performance. It topped charts in 77 countries, including the United States, Netflix’s home market, as well as Canada, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It also placed within the top 3 in all counted countries, showing firepower that made a roughly 3-year hiatus seem meaningless.
In the TV shows category, “God and Law Firm,” starring Yoo Yeon-seok and Esom, ranked No. 8.
In the fourth week of March, as the feeling of spring deepened, artists with a range of charms poured out. ITZY’s youngest member Yuna, appearing as the team’s second solo runner, and Verivery’s Kangmin, striking out on his own after 7 years since debut, showed a strong presence on their own and raised fans’ expectations.
Virtual group OWIS debuted, and Babt DONT Cry made a comeback with a lively charm. Stray Kids released a track for fans, adding to the emotion.
