SOOP SOOPers confirm Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City as home base, unveil emblem
SOOP said on Wednesday it has confirmed Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City as the home base of its new women’s professional volleyball team, SOOP SOOPers, and unveiled an official emblem. The club said it aims to broaden communication with local fans and grow with the community. The emblem features an infinity symbol, a volleyball and a “SOOPers” wordmark. The team has also completed KOVO membership approval and coaching and player signings.

SOOP secures three-year exclusive online rights to broadcast FIVB events, to live stream AVC Cup
SOOP has secured exclusive online broadcasting rights for major volleyball events organised by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), strengthening its sports streaming lineup. The company will exclusively live stream multiple FIVB competitions through 2028, including the AVC Cup, Asian Championship, Volleyball Nations League and World Championship. Its first broadcast is the ongoing 2026 men’s AVC Cup, covering all matches from group stage to the final.

SOOP completes KOVO membership approval, names Lee Min-won as inaugural owner
SOOP has completed membership approval from the Korea Volleyball Federation, formalising the launch of a women’s professional volleyball team and joining the V-League. The company said it received approval at a special KOVO board meeting held on June 2. It will begin full-scale founding procedures, including building the roster and operating system. Subsidiary SOOPTV will handle operations, with CEO Lee Min-won appointed as the inaugural owner.
