Grayscale says AI adoption will boost demand for public blockchains, cites three demand drivers
Grayscale has forecast that wider adoption of AI will increase demand for public blockchains. Grayscale Research head Zach Pandl (잭 팬들) said AI and public blockchains are complementary, with blockchain able to meet AI-specific needs that existing systems struggle to handle. He cited three areas where demand could rise: financial transactions and payments, verification of computation, identity and reputation records, and decentralised AI infrastructure.

KOCCA supports smaller Korean game makers\' China expansion at ChinaJoy
The Korea Creative Content Agency said it completed operations of the Korea pavilion at ChinaJoy 2026 in Shanghai, held from July 31 to Aug. 3, with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It supported booth demos and business meetings for 10 smaller Korean game developers. KOCCA said about 30,000 visitors attended over four days and 114 meetings were held with local buyers, generating export consultations worth about $12 million.

First-half cyber intrusion reports up 20 percent in South Korea as DDoS and ransomware surge
Reports of cyber intrusion incidents in South Korea rose about 20 percent in the first half of 2026 from a year earlier, a government report showed. The Korea Internet & Security Agency received 1,236 cases, up 19.5 percent, as DDoS attacks and ransomware increased sharply. The ministry and KISA also flagged threats linked to the spread of generative AI, open-source supply-chain attacks, and data leaks exploiting APIs and stolen accounts.
