Longer childhood screen time linked to higher cognitive scores in teens, study finds

Children who spent more time watching screens such as TVs, PCs and game consoles showed better cognitive processing in adolescence, a study found. Researchers analysed data from Finland\'s PANIC study tracking physical activity and nutrition. Among 260 participants followed up eight years later, longer cumulative screen time was associated with higher overall cognitive processing scores and some working-memory reaction-time measures. Researchers said the findings do not prove screen time directly improves cognition.
