AI writing detectors fuel era of distrust, with human work under suspicion
AI detection tools are spreading in classrooms and online writing spaces, adding a new layer of distrust. As generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot proliferate, scrutiny is shifting from plagiarism checks to identifying AI-written text. Surveys show many U.S. teachers use detectors, but their judgments are less transparent and can misclassify non-native English writers. Publishers and schools face disputes and lawsuits, while some universities limit or disable detectors and adjust assessment methods.

Court rejects Webzen injunction bid against \'Dragonsword\'; Steam release to proceed as planned
Hound13 said on Wednesday that the Seoul Central District Court rejected Webzen\'s request for a provisional injunction to block the release of \'Dragonsword: Awakening\'. The dispute arose after Webzen failed to pay a minimum guarantee under a publishing contract, after which Hound13 terminated the deal. The court found the termination valid and rejected claims of unauthorised use of translations. The game is set for release on Steam as planned.
