Korean CSPs warn cloud security guide revision should not strand prior investment

The Korea AI Cloud Industry Association on Tuesday shared industry views on a push by the National Intelligence Service to revise the national cloud computing security guide in line with the N2SF framework. Domestic cloud service providers said they broadly support risk-based security measures and expanding public-sector cloud and AI use, but warned that insufficient recognition of prior investments and certifications could drive reinvestment, revalidation and delays. They also called for clearer requirements, fairness and a phased transition.

Naver Cloud, LG CNS to develop cybersecurity specialised AI foundation model for closed networks, sensitive industries

Naver Cloud said on Wednesday it will form a consortium with LG CNS to take part in a government-led project to develop a specialised AI foundation model in the cybersecurity field. The consortium plans to build a model covering AI, infrastructure, security and data, focusing on deployment in closed and on-premises environments. It will also use security operations experience and encryption and isolation technology, while LG CNS will handle development and validation.

MegazoneCloud, Finger form alliance on finance AX business with 30 billion won investment

MegazoneCloud said on Aug. 24 it will cooperate with financial smart platform company Finger on AI transformation (AX) in the financial industry. The two companies agreed to invest 30 billion won each to effectively support the partnership. They plan to jointly pursue AX and system integration projects for financial institutions, co-develop and commercialise AI solutions tailored to financial operations, and offer integrated infrastructure and application operations, including subscription services.
