HMD has unveiled four new Nokia-branded feature phones and added a dedicated artificial intelligence button to expand AI functions. The button launches Siki AI features such as calling, turning on a flashlight, setting alarms, opening the camera and adding schedules. HMD said limited generative AI functions are included, but it did not disclose the underlying model or architecture. AI is free for 180 days; later fees are unknown. Online reactions were mixed.

Samsung has unveiled its new budget smartphone, the Galaxy A27 5G, featuring a punch-hole Infinity-O display and expanded AI functions. The starting price is set at $350, up $50 from the previous model. It uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and offers 6GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB of storage, expandable via microSD. The phone supports 6 Android OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates, while its water and dust rating drops to IP64.
