Benefits cited include longer battery life, support for a privacy feature limiting precise location exposure, and better network processing in weak-signal areas.

Apple has released iOS 26.5.1 for the iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air, with the update focused on fixing a charging bug affecting those models.
