Tesla, Rivian and GM keep Apple CarPlay at bay. What drives their stance

Tesla, Rivian and General Motors are cited as major automakers that still do not support Apple’s in-car interface CarPlay. Tesla has not officially supported CarPlay, though reports have suggested development work. Rivian executives have repeatedly said there are no plans to add it. GM has defended a decision to drop CarPlay from future EVs and to gradually reduce support more broadly.
