Apple unveils AI Siri after 2 years, bets on conversational AI to take on ChatGPT and Claude

Apple on June 8 unveiled a next-generation AI voice assistant Siri at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, developed in cooperation with Google. TechCrunch reported it marked a renewed attempt two years after Apple failed to deliver on a promise to launch Smart Siri. The new Siri becomes a conversational AI platform and will also be released as a standalone app, with new design, writing and productivity features, plus usage limits and regional constraints.
