Hana Financial launches youth financial talent training project with Financial Supervisory Service

Hana Financial Group said on April 20 it held a launch ceremony and ran final-round competition events for its “Hana Youth Financial Talent Development Project” with the Financial Supervisory Service. The programme is a hands-on training course sponsored by the regulator and companies including Google, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft, covering finance, ESG and AI and data analysis. Finalists will receive about four months of training, mentoring and project work, with prizes totalling 30 million won.

KB Financial to launch voluntary information security disclosure

KB Financial Group said on Monday it will introduce voluntary information security disclosures in the first half of this year to respond to changes in laws and systems and the trend toward ESG disclosures. The move also prepares for a planned revision to the enforcement decree of the Information Security Industry Act, targeted for implementation in 2027. KB Financial plans to disclose group-wide information security status and refine related governance.

KB Kookmin Bank upgrades AI-based KB video consultation service

KB Kookmin Bank said on Thursday it has upgraded its AI-based KB video consultation service to help prevent financial incidents that may occur in non-face-to-face banking and to improve customer convenience. The service, offered on KB Star Banking, allows customers to consult and subscribe via video calls for products including deposits, savings, funds, discretionary ISAs and individual IRPs. The upgrade strengthens consumer protection through real-time face and ID checks and improves mobile guidance sharing and form transmission speed.
