Nvidia to invest $1 billion over five years in quantum computing and U.S. science

Nvidia said on Oct. 12 it will invest and provide support totaling $1 billion over the next five years to advance superintelligence technologies in U.S. science and quantum computing. RAM, SSD prices may rise further as U.S. cloud demand tightens DRAM supply

RAM prices could rise further toward the end of 2026 as DRAM supply remains tight and demand from U.S. cloud service providers grows, TrendForce said. Early talks on fourth-quarter contract prices point to possible increases. A YMTC official said the global memory shortage could last at least three more years, noting recent chip price hikes and a shift toward higher-margin products. YMTC’s moves may also affect SSD prices.

Daewon CTS seeks cooperation with Kazakhstan government on AI modular data centres

Daewon CTS said on Wednesday its enterprise division signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan\'s Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development to cooperate on AI modular data centres and AI infrastructure. The agreement was reached at a Korea-Kazakhstan business roundtable held on the sidelines of the first Korea-Central Asia summit. The two sides plan to form a joint working group and pursue individual projects through separate contracts.
