N2SF shift opens public-sector security SaaS market, Monitorlab to step up push
Monitorlab plans to push its Security Service Edge platform into South Korea\'s public sector, citing growing opportunities as the National Network Security Framework, or N2SF, is introduced. CEO Lee Gwang-ho said government policy now supports public agencies adopting security as a service, though hurdles remain. The company said multiple certifications are still required and costly. Monitorlab is also working with LG Uplus and is seeking growth overseas, while highlighting generative AI security as a new driver.

MegazoneCloud wins AWS Security Competency, expands AI security
MegazoneCloud said on Tuesday it has obtained Amazon Web Services\' AWS Security Competency. The competency is awarded to partners with specialised technical expertise and consulting capabilities in cloud security. With the latest certification, MegazoneCloud now holds 11 AWS competencies, including Migration and Modernization, Data and Analytics, Generative AI Services, DevOps and Financial Services. The company said this is the highest level among AWS partners in the Asia Pacific region.

Security industry consolidation is accelerating as the market reshapes around AI, with companies pursuing mergers and acquisitions. The Wall Street Journal reported that Proofpoint, owned by private equity firm Thoma Bravo, is in late-stage talks to buy cybersecurity firm Varonis Systems. Separately, Palo Alto Networks bought AI agent startup Console for $500 million in cash and stock and plans to integrate the technology into its Cortex security platform.
