Datadog seeks to acquire Israel cloud security startup Upwind
Datadog is pursuing an acquisition of Israeli cloud security startup Upwind Security, The Information reported on Oct. 22 local time. Datadog recently offered nearly $4 billion as acquisition terms, the report said. Upwind has received acquisition approaches from several companies in recent months but has not accepted any, it added. Upwind is raising $300 million at about a $3.8 billion valuation, and its annual recurring revenue grew to more than $50 million from about $20 million by end-2025.

Agentic AI startup 42Maru said on Tuesday it will take part in Japan IT Week Autumn from Oct. 21 to 23 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, to showcase its website-focused AI agent SiteBunny. The company said the no-code SaaS solution learns from corporate websites, FAQs and PDF documents to answer questions from visitors and employees. It will run demonstrations, hold consultations and recruit official partners for distribution in Japan.
