KT launches personal data protection advisory committee, holds first meeting

KT has begun operating a newly created personal data protection advisory committee to prevent data leaks and strengthen protection of customer information. The company said the panel held its first regular meeting on July 16 at KT’s Pangyo building to discuss its operating plan and key agenda items. The committee reviewed measures to strengthen personal data protection, implement amendments to the Personal Information Protection Act, and upgrade leak-response systems.

AWS Security Hub expands protection to Azure, adds new features

AWS is expanding the protection scope of Security Hub to include Microsoft Azure, SiliconANGLE reported. AWS also added new AI-related functions to Security Hub, seeking to establish it as a comprehensive control platform spanning multiple cloud infrastructures. The company introduced GuardDuty AI Protection to strengthen intelligent application security and an inventory system to identify AI assets across an organisation. It also expanded the Security Hub Extended ecosystem to 21 partners.

KT launches public sector AI email security service after winning CSAP certification

KT launched its \"public sector AI email security\" service after obtaining the Cloud Security Assurance Program (CSAP) certification from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), the company said on Sunday. The cloud-based service uses AI to detect and block email-borne threats such as ransomware and phishing. It applies a three-stage filtering system, supports optional APT analysis engines and maintains more than 97 percent detection accuracy, KT said.
