Naver to buy 30 percent stake in GS Wind Power, signs 25-year direct PPA
Naver said on Tuesday it will acquire a 30 percent stake in GS Wind Power and sign a direct renewable power purchase agreement. The deal is the first case in South Korea in which a RE100 member invests directly in a renewable power generation company to secure energy. The wind farm under construction in Yeongyang, North Gyeongsang Province is to supply electricity to Naver’s Sejong and Chuncheon data centres from commercial operations starting in the first half of 2028.

ADTechnology to target edge and sovereign CPU design market
ADTechnology said it will shift from a traditional design house model based on customer drawings to proactively proposing AI server chip architectures. CEO Joon-kyu Park said the company will move from a passive approach to an active model of proposing needed architectures and co-developing them with clients. It aims to reach 1.5 trillion won in revenue by 2030 and plans to target demand for ARM-based CPUs for edge servers and sovereign environments.

KT 2025 operating profit jumps more than 200 percent; subscribers rise despite hacking
KT said its 2025 operating profit more than tripled from a year earlier, helped by one-off real estate sales gains and base effects from labor spending. Revenue rose 6.9 percent to 28.24 trillion won and operating profit climbed 205 percent to 2.47 trillion won. KT said subscribers increased on a net basis despite unauthorized small-payment incidents, and it outlined plans to strengthen information security and continue dividends and share buybacks.
