Shinhan Bank rolls out Kakaotalk ticketing service to all branches

Shinhan Bank has expanded its Shinhan Talk Ticket service to all branches, letting visitors receive real-time queue updates via Kakao notification messages. Customers can check waiting status without installing a separate bank app and can pre-enter information needed for consultations while they wait. The bank said about 20,000 people used the service through Sept. 18 after the rollout, and about 70 percent completed pre-registration of consultation information.

South Korea sets AI research ethics guidelines for national R&D, final responsibility rests with researchers

South Korea has set ethical standards researchers must follow when using AI in national research and development, limiting AI to a research tool and placing responsibility and rights for final outputs on researchers. The Ministry of Science and ICT said it finalised the National R&D AI Research Ethics Guide after review and approval by the National Science and Technology Advisory Council’s steering committee. The guide includes seven recommendations and also sets standards for project evaluation and paper review processes.
