KB Kookmin Bank has launched a service that allows users to check risk factors during jeonse transactions.

KB Kookmin Bank said on Aug. 28 it introduced the Jeonse Safety Check service on its comprehensive real estate platform, KB Real Estate, to prevent jeonse fraud by guiding users on what to verify across the entire process, from searching listings and signing contracts to moving.

The service provides a checklist of items to confirm at each stage of a jeonse transaction. It is structured so users can check legal and contract-related content through materials such as card news and YouTube videos.

It also provides public housing information previously offered on KB Real Estate, real estate registration change alerts, and information related to jeonse deposit return guarantee insurance. Users can also find in one place how to respond if jeonse fraud damage occurs and guidance on support organisations.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We hope this service will help customers check in advance the information needed for jeonse transactions and prevent damage."
