UN AI science panel releases first report, cannot rule out catastrophic harm from AI

KAIST declares vision for AI college, steps up push to train global convergence talent
KAIST declared its vision for an artificial intelligence college and said it will accelerate talent development and research innovation. KAIST held a vision declaration event at 10 a.m. on Sunday at its Academic and Cultural Center to share its vision and 추진 direction for training key talent, advancing education and research, cooperating with industry and building a responsible AI ecosystem. Yeo Han-koo steps up push to resolve trade issues at Davos forum
South Korea\'s top trade negotiator Yeo Han-koo held broad trade diplomacy at the World Economic Forum in Davos, meeting trade ministers and executives about 50 times, the industry ministry said on Jan. 23. He discussed bilateral issues with the United States and held talks on steel import restrictions with the European Union and Canada. He also pushed for faster negotiations on multiple FTAs and attended WTO ministerial meetings focused on restoring the multilateral trading order.
