SK hynix to pay 304.7 billion won in supplier bills early ahead of Chuseok

SK hynix said on Wednesday it will pay about 304.7 billion won in bills to partner companies early ahead of the Chuseok holiday. It said the move aims to ease suppliers\' liquidity burdens during periods of concentrated funding demand such as major holidays, alongside institutional support. The company also cited continued financial and operational support, plans to use 1.4 trillion won in shared-growth funds, and an October event for suppliers and their families.

KB Financial, BS Group to cooperate on productive finance for renewables, AI data centres

KB Financial Group will work with BS Group to jointly identify projects and expand financial support in future growth areas including renewable energy, energy infrastructure and AI data centres. The companies signed a memorandum of understanding on expanding productive finance and shared growth. They plan to combine expertise in finance and industry to develop business opportunities and build a strategic cooperation framework, and to run working-level consultative bodies by sector to find concrete projects.

SK Hynix speeds up memory timeline as fab infrastructure moves ahead

SK Hynix is accelerating construction of memory-related infrastructure, with its first Yongin fab nearing completion and investment and groundbreaking dates set for additional fabs. The company plans to hold a groundbreaking ceremony in Indiana for a $3.9 billion advanced packaging plant. It has decided to invest 35.2 trillion won in Yongin’s Y2 fab and 19.1 trillion won in Cheongju’s M17. The government has also moved to speed up power-grid schedules for the Honam semiconductor cluster.
