China\'s Xpeng targets global autonomous driving market as Hyundai turns to robotaxis

Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng is expanding a licensing business to sell autonomous driving and smart cockpit technology to external customers beyond its cooperation with Volkswagen. The company set up a commercialization team about six months ago and is seeking contracts for vehicle E/E architecture, smart cockpit, its Turing AI chip, advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving software. Hyundai Motor is also turning to robotaxis as a new demand driver in the United States.

Whistle partners with Yeoju on parking enforcement alerts ahead of Chuseok holiday

Mobility platform Whistle said on Sept. 18 it has partnered with Yeoju in Gyeonggi Province to provide an integrated parking and stopping enforcement alert service ahead of the Chuseok holiday. Residents and visitors can use the service by registering vehicle information in the Whistle app. Alerts are sent by app push notifications and messaging when a vehicle is detected by fixed or mobile CCTV in enforcement zones. The company said it is expanding integrated services across partner regions.

Nexon Games signs MOU with Korea Ceramic Foundation for Blue Archive craft project

Nexon Games will support cultural and arts creation by providing its game intellectual property to other industries. The company said it signed an MOU on June 26 with the Nexon Foundation and the Korea Ceramic Foundation to promote the \"Borderless: Craft Archive\" project. The three will jointly produce and exhibit works using the Blue Archive IP and operate hands-on programs for visitors. The works are to be unveiled at the 2026 Gyeonggi Craft Festa in Yeoju in October.
